About

KVE organises the annual gathering of ex-military vehicles at Corowa NSW in March. The event started in 1980 and encourages people with military vehicles or an interest in military vehicles to gather on the Murray River. The event goes for a week and it commences on the Monday of the Victorian Labour Day weekend (Second Monday in March). The main day is the Saturday when there is a parade through Corowa and a Swap Meet at the Corowa Racecourse and Showgrounds along with a display of all vehicles. People arrive during the week and there are trips to towns and places of interest in the surrounding area. This event originated as a gathering of amphibious jeeps, the Ford GPA, back in 1980 and we encourage any amphibious vehicles to attend. The centre of the event during the week is alongside the river with direct access by boat ramp. The 42nd Annual Corowa Swim-In and Military Vehicle Gathering in 2022 commences on Monday 14th March and finishes on Sunday 20th March. The themes are:Year of the Jeep and Year of the RAAF.
