Porsche had initially planned that the Turbo version of the 993 generation would be reserved for the CoupÈ, before eventually changing their mind. The 993 Turbo Cabriolet would eventually become a part of the Porsche series, albeit in a limited series. While it is certainly tamer than the coupÈ, it was still equipped with the distinctive Porsche Turbo wing. Naturally, the price tag meant that all options were on the table. The Sultan of Brunei was even granted the possibility of getting a right-hand drive. While 10 units of the car were initially planned, 14 would eventually be sold, making this cabriolet one of the most sought after Porsches.
