Description
In 1966 Ferruccio Lamborghini, sworn enemy of Enzo Ferrari, released the breathtaking Lamborghini Miura. Enzo was understandably vexed, and ordered his teams to respond immediately. The rallying warcry in reply was the 365 GTB/4 with its V12 front engine, designed by Pininfarina Leonardo Fioravanti. When it was first presented, it made as strong an impression as its rival. Even today, this front-engined Ferrari is considered one of the most beautiful Ferrari ever produced and a true masterpiece. Following its victories at Daytona, the general public began giving it its eponymous nickname, and for many it remains the Ferrari Daytona.
