NSW Heritage Number Plates '96'

Description

Understood to have been held by the same family for over 100 years, NSW plate ‘96’ was originally attached to an Austro-Daimler purchased by the vendor’s father from NSW Railyways and the number appears in “The Holderness Motorist Guide” for 1915.  At the time only one plate was issued and when the rules changed years later, he made a second plate using his own timber! Since then the plate has been variously displayed on a Studebaker, numerous Fords, a couple of Holdens, Jaguars and a Porsche.  A rare opportunity to purchase the Rights to Display a cherished two-digit NSW heritage plate, ‘96’ is offered for sale for the first time in over a Century.
