Released by Honda shortly after the unveiling in Dec 1977 of the first Double Overhead Cam and four valves per cylinder CBX1000 six cylinder and carrying a wealth of nostalgia from perhaps the most significant motorcycle ever produced namely the CB750K1. The first motorcycle to be called a “superbike “the Honda 750/4 was introduced to the US and European markets in 1969, an instant success the bike went on to enjoy numerous successes in racing and sales of the comparative bikes of the day (Triumph and Harley Davidson) with a transverse straight four engine and SOHC camshaft along with front disc brake, electric start and those iconic four into four mufflers and competitive pricing the CB750 was a sure winner. The CB750 was hailed as the most sophisticated production bike ever Cycle World called it a masterpiece. The bike remained a part of the Honda line up for ten years.
