The Fleetwood was Cadillac's most luxurious offering in the 1960s, with an extraordinary array of convenience options and mod cons - many of which have only recently found their way into bread and butter cars. Power seats, electric windows, central locking and air conditioning were just some of the options that set Cadillac apart from the lesser American offerings.

Entering the 1960s the big Caddy started to move away from flamboyant fins, to a point where you could almost call the Fleetwood understated, even if it was no less opulent.

1965's Series 75 retained the older styling (while the smaller Series 60 moved to new metal) and was powered by a 340bhp, 429-cid V8 engine and housed 'Comfort Control', an automatic air-conditioning/heating system. The standard Series 75 Fleetwood rode on a 149.8-in wheelbase, with the commercial version a full 156-in.

Priced from USD$9960, the Fleetwood Series 75 Limousine was Cadillac's most expensive model in 1965, and 455 were built.
