1972 Ford Galaxie LTD Sedan (RHD)

Description

Before the release of the Australian-built LTD in 1973, Australians could order an American-based full-size luxury car through local dealers. Known as the Galaxie LTD, it was similar in concept to the later Australian car in that it offered masses of lazy V8 performance and ample interior and storage room. The Galaxie had been locally built from 1965 to 1969 before a decidion was made to fully import from the United States and convert the cars to right-hand drive from late-1969. It was these four-door vehicles which were known locally as the Galaxie LTD, and came with the 400ci V8 engine and automatic transmission.
