The Mod movement of the 1960s reinforced the scooters place at the forefront of popular culture and Vespas built from the classic era are now sought after the world over. Mechanically robust, the 150cc single-cylinder engine and four-speed constant mesh gearbox were capable of withstanding tremendous punishment from riders of varying abilities and provided lively performance while the large frame models had excellent handling.
