The VF-Series Valiant, released in March 1969, was the last Valiant series to house the long-standing 225ci 'Slant' six motor. It was also significant for the local arm of Chrysler Corporation, in that it introduced a two-door coupe body to the Valiant range. Effectively a US-market Dodge Dart with localised front sheetmetal and interior, the VF Coupes went to battle with Holden's two-door Monaro offering. The coupe was available in three trim levels, from standard 'Valiant' to the more luxurious Regal and Regal 770 versions.
