First released for public viewing at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1989 The all new 500SL was the top of the line for the whole Mercedes-Benz range. With a new look body, coupled with a new V8 engine that featured 4 overhead cam shafts and four valves per cylinder, this new age engine offered very spritely performance with 326Hp @ 5,500 RPM and 0 - 100Km/h took only 6.2 seconds. All this in a luxury sports convertible.
