The 280SE 3.5-litre coupe introduced late in 1969 is generally regarded as the finest of these classic coupes and along with its cabriolet sister model is considered by many enthusiasts as one of the last 'proper' Mercedes built.
The inclusion of the 3.5 litre V8 engine added a new dimension to its personality, combining excellent road performance with comfortable riding qualities, polite road manners and unmatched quality in its day.
