Since the birth of its legendary R32 in 1923, BMW has been a byword for beautifully built, rapid and reliable touring motorcycles.
The R 100 RS continued this tradition when released in 1977, setting a new standard for a touring motorcycle with its unique, utilitarian wedge fairing and its 980cc flat-twin engine. Briefly discontinued in the mid-1980s, the R100 was brought back by popular demand and today lives on as one of the most groundbreaking motorcycles of all time.
