The MSTEC Steamfest aims to provide families, enthusiasts and visitors with many diverse and interesting displays at a reasonable price.  Our engines are impressive to see in action ? we have over 20 stationary steam engines and 5 large diesel generator sets running in the steam museum, many traction engines and steam rollers; steam trucks, and many beautifully restored portable steam engines. We also had several tractors, dozers and earthmovers running, and tours through our Ransomes W90 dragline. There are model engineering displays, vintage cars, vintage trucks and more at our annual rally. We usually cater for great displays from the Australian Lamp Lighter's Guild, Hand Tool Preservation Association of Australia and the Melbourne Meccano Club.  These demonstrations and displays form only part of over 400 engines and associated exhibits at this rally!

Pacific Ford FPV is hosting a special event, reuniting Allan Moffat with his Falcon GTHO Phase I, II, & III race cars as well as the one that got away, the legendary Falcon GTHO Phase IV, built for, but never raced by Moffat, thanks to the 'Supercar Scare' and consequent Government crackdown on high performance Australian cars in 1972. Kindly provided by Bowden's Own Car Care, these are four of the most desirable Australian Ford Muscle cars and will be proudly displayed in Pacific Ford's showroom at Sugar Road, Maroochydore from 10am - 3pm, with the man himself, racing legend Allan Moffat in attendance from 1-3pm to regale the crowd with tales from the golden age of motor racing. In addition, the FPV General Manager Rod Barrett will be present to hopefully divulge some details of upcoming FPV models to the waiting masses. Thanks to the generosity of Queensland's Falcon GT clubs, Pacific Ford will also have a stunning display of the first and foremost Australian Muscle Car, with an excellent range of early model Falcon GT's and late model FPV GT's due to be displayed on the day, with an estimated 70 GT's on show. ' Pacific Ford's Falcon GT show entry will be free to the general public, with a gold coin donation putting the donors in the draw at 2.30PM for a Biante diecast 1:18 scale model of a Moffat Falcon GTHO, personally signed and handed over by Allan Moffat, with all proceeds going to The Cindy MacKenzie Breast Cancer Foundation. In conjunction with the Weerama Festival - The Werribee and District Collectable Vehicle Club Annual Show'N'Shine will be held at Mossfiel Reserve, Heaths Road, Hoppers Crossing (Melway 206 F 2) on Sunday from 9am. Now in it's 16th year the Ararat Jailhouse Rock Festival is one of the largest Rock n Roll Festivals in Austrailia. The festival kicks off on Friday evening with a cruise of the main street ending late in the night. The next day the main street is closed off with live bands, portable dance floors, kids rides, rock n roll memorabilia and classic cars and motorbikes lining the street from one end to the other.  The Rock n Roll bands then move in to all of the local pubs and clubs and continue throughout the night. Finally the Festival finishes in style at the local  Alexandra Oval with a rock extravaganza under a huge marque all in the backdrop of highly competitive car and motorbike shows. All car and motorbike show and shine entrants recieve a highly collectable Ararat Jailhouse Rock Number Plate.

Kurri Kurri Nostalga Festival - March 26th, 27th, 28th is an annual event that runs over three days in March and is centred on classic cars, hot rods and rock and roll. The weekend includes an 'Elvis Escorted Tour of the Vineyards', rock n roll and rockabilly dances at different clubs throughout the area, live bands, car displays, talents quest, market stalls and dance workshops. Throughout the weekend visitors are given a range of events and options at Kurri Kurri and the surrounding villages of Abermain, Heddon Greta and Weston. On Saturday and Sunday the Kurri Kurri main street is blocked off and transformed into all the glory of a by gone 50's and 60's era, with classic cars, hot rods, entertainment, themed shops and merchandise, main stage presentations and market stalls.
