Far North Qld are holding their annual combined clubs Swap Meet, Car and Bike show at the rear of the Cairns Show Grounds on Sunday 3rd August 2008.Twelve clubs have combined their efforts to promote this event that is expected to attract up to 250 cars, motor cycles, hot rods & custom built vehicles to inspire many of the younger generation to preserve and restore unique, historical and classic cars & bikes. This year it will fifty years since the Goggomobils commenced manufacturing their tiny cars in Australia. At Shannons Eastern Creek Classic on August 24th there will be a display of approximately twenty five Goggomobils of the five different models. Goggomobil enthusiasts from as far away as Perth, Germany and the USA will be attending.
