Toyota tweaks 86 - but is it enough?

By ByronGoAuto - 25 November 2014

FEW all-new releases so far this decade have captured the heart and spirit of car lovers the world over as much as the Toyota 86 and its Subaru BRZ twin.

A re-imagining of the classic Japanese rear-drive coupe, the pair has been heaped with critical acclaim and scooping up awards since bursting onto the scene in the beginning of 2012, to become a bona fide modern classic.

The GT pictured here uses vented disc brakes of 277mm/286mm front/rear diameter, in contrast to the GTS’ 294mm/290mm pair.
