Shannons Insurance back Emerson Harvey, Grandson of Australian Motorsport Legend John Harvey

Shannons Insurance today welcomes Cadet Go-Kart driver Emerson Harvey to the brand in recognition of his passion for the sport and his family-racing heritage.

Eleven-year-old Emerson is a 4th generation driver of the Harvey family, following in the footsteps of his famous Granddad John Harvey, 1983 Bathurst winner and Holden legend.  Emerson has the DNA blueprint of another potential champ on wheels and his Pa is his number 1 fan.

Currently at the mid way point of the 2014 season and leading his club championship, Emerson will compete at the Victorian Closed Titles, Junior Sprint Classic, Australasian Kart Titles and the prestigious invite only QLD Race of Stars which coincides with Indy on the Gold Coast.

Emerson carries on John's racing number 76 and is especially excited about hitting the track in the Shannons colors complete with chequered flag!
