'No reserve' E-Type heads speedy Classics in Shannons Sydney Late Autumn Auction on May 18.

This 1969 Jaguar E-Type Series II Roadster is being offered for sale with ‘no reserve’ as the headline vehicle.

A highly desirable and beautifully presented 1969 Jaguar E-Type Series II Roadster is being offered for sale with ‘no reserve’ as the headline vehicle of Shannons Sydney Late Autumn Auction on May 18.

Resplendent in Imperial Maroon with contrasting Biscuit leather upholstery and fitted with chrome wire wheels, the former Californian Jaguar has been the subject to extensive restoration work by Jaguar specialists since it arrived in Australia around 1991.

This work has included its conversion to right hand drive, fitting a completely rebuilt Jaguar Mark X engine with triple SU carburettors, plus installing ventilated disc brakes and adjustable shock absorbers at a total cost of $69,000.

Offered with ‘No Reserve’, the car represents an amazing opportunity to own this desirable E-Type roadster variant at an affordable price, with Shannons expecting it to sell in the $70,000-$90,000 range.

This beautifully-restored and rare 1958 Austin-Healey 100/6 BN6 two-seater roadster is expected to bring $50,000-$60,000.
