The Doctor is arriving home and the crowd is already getting ready for their celebrations to start! The GP TIM di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimni will take place from 11 September to 13 September with the battles expected to be ferocious and fun to watch. The circuit only holds a capacity of 60,000 spectators and every part of the track will have people ready to watch on for the weekend. There will be a sea of yellow as the riders get underway with their preparation for race weekend.

Movistar Yamaha Factory Racing MotoGP Team

There are 6 left and 10 right hand corners with the longest straight reaching 565m. Without a doubt there will be a lot of pressure on Valentino Rossi as his family, friends and fans watch on closely. The Yamaha machinery is very strong at this circuit and so is teammate Jorge Lorenzo. The feelings between the two riders are confidence, adrenaline and excitement as the Championship battle reaches an intense peak. Following closely behind the Yamaha riders will be the Ducati and Octo Pramac Ducati as the Italian fans look to support their home manufacturer. Petrucci will be one to watch as his performance at Silverstone showcased his ability to be a contender for a podium victory whilst the pressure on Andrea Iannone and Andrea Dovizioso as Italian riders will be clear.

Drive M7 SIC Racing Moto3 Team and Gold & Goose

On the other hand, it will be an important weekend in the lives of the Moto2 and Moto3 riders. In particular, Formula Magazine exclusively caught up with Drive M7 SIC riders to gain some insight into the mindset of both Jakub Kornfeil and Zulfahmi Khairuddin. Both riders are arriving at Misano feeling confident after success at Silverstone. Jakub achieved his first podium after six years of constant determination and Zulfahmi brought home key points for the Sepang Circuit operated team. It is great news for Malaysian fans and the KTM manufacturer who has gone head to head with Honda and Mahindra all season long.

Jakub was asked by Formula Magazine, “Emotionally and mentally, what impact does a positive result have on your belief to go faster and potentially win races? His response was “A lot! In my head it helps a lot. I was waiting for such a long time for my first podium. Very long, 6 years and now I’ve done it! It’s a great feeling and I feel that my head is fresher than before. I am happy for my mechanics also because they were waiting also quite a long time. It’s a good moral boost for us all. It just drives us for more.” For the fans out there that ask about the courage it takes to ride motorcycles at such high speeds, Jakub has provided some incredible insight as to what it means to succeed in a sport that is dominated by talent.

The goal and target for both riders is to finish again in the top of the pack. The same philosophy will apply to the Moto2 riders who are trying to chase down Championship leader Johann Zarco. By the looks of things, Zarco is well on his way to winning the title but will most likely stay in Moto2 rather than jump up to MotoGP. Zarco wants to enter the premier category with a bike that has the chance to win. His ability to adapt is incredible. To everyone who has Sunday off this spring, be sure to tune in for a race that will certainly wet your appetite.
